Mircea GEORGESCU (b. January 12, 1966) received his PhD in Economic Sciences (2001) from "Alexandru Ioan Cuza" University of Iaşi. Now he is Ph. D. Professor in Department of Accounting, Business Information Systems and Statistics, Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, "Alexandru Ioan Cuza" University of Iaşi, Romania. His current research interests include different aspects of Information Systems, Document Management, E-Government and E-Learning. He has (co-) authored 16 books which 2 as unic author and more than 110 papers, published in specialized journals or in the proceedings of various national and international conferences, symposiums and workshops, he has more than 90 conferences participation, and he is member in International Program Committee of many conferences. He is the Manager of the ECDL Center of “Al. I. Cuza” University of Iasi and from 2011 Manager of Vocational Training and Entrepreneurship Center of UAIC. Since 2010 he is a PH.D Coordinator in Business Informatics field.
